
An excellent week for the Sambas couldn’t have come to a better end. The team won another early SCOOP title in the tiebreaker of Event 97-H: $5,200 NL Hold’em (thriller Thursday). Allan “allan sheik” Mello increased his bankroll to $164,980 after beating Pedro “PaDiLhA SP” Padilha heads-up. Meanwhile, the runner-up took home $108,105.
The two shared the table with two other country stars. Felipe “ketzerfelipe” Ketzer finished fourth for $57,810. Rodrigo “SELOUAN1991” Selouan won $26,145 for eighth place.
The Brazilian also made it to the final of Event 97-M: $530 NL Hold’em (thriller Thursday). “Fox__MEF” (2nd place), Henrique “HenriquinAK” Starling (3rd place) and Bruno “SOUFODAMS” Medalha (4th place) were eliminated in a row for tournament prizes of $54,923, $35,833 and $30,047 respectively.
